Crawfish is king, but this New Year, Bevi Seafood Co. was recognized not for Crawfish, but for our Roast Beef Po-Boy. Brett Anderson, food critic for the Times Picayune I NOLA.com, put Bevi Seafood Co.’s Roast Beef Po-Boy among his best bites of 2015 and followed that up by including Bevi Seafood Co. in a revisit to his popular Roast Beef Po-Boy round-up of the city.
With the Roast Beef Po-Boy holding the title of original po-boy in many circles, this was quite an honor for us. We slow roast our beef in house and dress it with caramelized onions, swiss cheese and horesradish mayo. It’s one of thirteen po-boys we serve daily at Bevi Seafood Co. and take Brett Anderson's word for it: "I know it's a seafood place. Just trust me on this."
