Cheers to a New Year
Katherine LeBlanc
We took a month to get to know the place then opened up “officially” as Bevi Seafood Co. in early December. We invited family and friends to celebrate the opening and before you know it, we’re in the Times-Picayune, The Gambit, and The New Orleans Advocate. Wow! The past month has flown by with Thanksgiving, Christmas, and then New Year’s bringing oyster lovers into the shop to sample the salty sensations. In the midst of providing the very best seafood for your holiday table, we started on renovations. You can’t miss us now; our bright red façade is accented by our logo on the side of the building. The inside received a face lift too with new paint, new TV’s, and a new menu.
Our favorite piece in the transformation is probably the handmade blackboard menus. The Cypress wood framing the menus were originally in the house Justin grew up in. Dating back centuries this wood was once submerged in the swamps of Louisiana.
2014 is off to a great start for Bevi Seafood Co. We’re looking forward to crawfish season and offering the very best product for you and your family to enjoy the Louisiana traditions we all know and love.
